See What’s Happening in Lago Mar!
From “spooktacular” fun to a holiday parade, Lago Mar residents have plenty to look forward to!
Up first is a Trunk-or-Treat event at the Lago Mar crystal clear lagoon 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. Children of all ages can go car-to-car for candy and other treats, burn off energy at the bounce house and win prizes for some frightfully fantastic costumes. There will also be a prize for the best-decorated trunk. Adding to the fun will be an obstacle course and balloon artist. Cotton candy and popcorn will be free, and a food truck will be onsite with food for purchase. Members and their guests also receive free admission to Lagoonfest Texas that day. Visitors to Lagoonfest Texas that day will also be able to attend Trunk-or-Treat. A big thanks goes to 3rd Coast Church and Lagoonfest Texas for their sponsorships and support of this event!
November will bring a chance for residents to clear their closets to make room for the holiday gifts they are sure to receive, as well as dispose of outdated paperwork. The community garage sale happens at residents’ homes from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 5. Following the sale, residents can take their old documents to the clubhouse where there will be document shredding services provided for free by ShredTex. While the garage sale is open to the public, the shredding event is for residents only.
On Dec. 17, Lago Mar residents will outfit their golf carts in holiday finery as they compete for bragging rights in a golf cart parade. First-, second- and third-place prizes will be awarded for the carts with the most creative displays of holiday cheer. Those without a golf cart can still take part in the parade by decorating their bikes, scooters, strollers or wagons.
Sounds like a perfect end to another fun year in Lago Mar!
